General Manager, Adriaan Bartels, brings over 30 years of hospitality experience to the Cashel Palace Hotel. Previously a General Manager of Cliff House Hotel and Sheen Falls Lodge, both members of Relais et Châteaux during his tenure, Adriaan has been involved in the design and refurbishment of the Cashel Palace since the project started in November 2018.

He is excited to bring all his previous experience to ensure that the team around him provide the highest level of professional service and traditional hospitality to this most exciting new venture. Away from work, Adriaan enjoys nothing more than a long cycle through the quiet rural roads of south County Tipperary to unwind.

PatriciaQuirke is Director of Finance at Cashel Palace Hotel. She trained with CroweHorwath, Dublin and has previously acted as FinanciaL Controller for 4 and 5star Hotel properties in Kilkenny and Tipperary. Patricia has extensiveexperience in Hospitality and enjoys building a strong Accounts Team that cansupport and drive Cashel Palace Hotel forward in collaboration with all otherHotel Departments.

Karen Fleming is Director of Sales at the Cashel Palace Hotel. Formerly Director of Sales with Hayfield Family Collection in Cork & Kerry, and with over 20 years in hospitality at home and abroad, Karen has built up a wealth of industry friends and experience. Committed to providing the highest level of service, Karen is also passionate about lifelong learning and has recently completed an Executive MBA at Cork University Business School.

Karen’s favourite pastimes (apart from talking about all things Tipperary!) include reading, travel, music and spending time with family and friends.

As Director of People, Avril Chappell brings a wealth of experience in employee relations and people management to the team at the Cashel Palace Hotel.

Most recently Avril was People and Culture Manager at the Imperial Hotel Cork and in the past has worked as HR Manager at Coolmore Stud. Avril gets huge pleasure from seeing people thrive in their workplace and career and looks forward to building a happy and successful team at Cashel Palace.

Director of Culinary, Stephen Hayes, oversees all dining experiences across the Cashel Palace and Mikey Ryan’s.

A member of the team since 2019, Stephen was formerly Head Chef of the Michelin-starred restaurant at The Cliff House Hotel in Waterford and also furnished his skills at the Michelin three-starred Restaurant De Librije in Holland. With a focus on locally sourced produce, Stephen plans to create menus that reflect the very best of what Ireland and more specifically Tipperary has to offer.

Patrick Healy is Director of Food and Beverage at the Cashel Palace Hotel. He is an experienced hospitality professional with a proven track record in leading food and beverage operations.

Previous roles include overseeing operations at renowned establishments such as Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons and The Berkeley, with achievements including maintaining Michelin standards and achieving exceptional guest satisfaction. Dedicated to delivering excellence in service.

Director of Front of House at The Cashel Palace, Paul Hand is passionate about providing guests with the best possible service during their stay at the hotel. Having spent a number of years working at Powerscourt Hotel as well as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Paul is looking forward to bringing his experience to the team at The Cashel Palace Hotel.

Tara De Courcey is Director of Spa and Wellness at the Cashel Palace. Formerly the Assistant Spa Manager at Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa in Kerry, Tara brings a deep understanding of all aspects of the body, face and mind to the team, drawing on her years of training and experience.

Tara is an advocate for organic products and is delighted to be working with Bamford’s luxury products at the spa. Tara takes great pleasure in helping clients to choose the best products for them and strives to ensure that everyone receives the 5-star treatment they deserve. Away from the spa, Tara is an adventurist and an avid golfer.
