The Bishop's Buttery
One Michelin Star Restaurant | A Taste of Tipperary
Hidden beneath the graceful façade of Cashel Palace lies The Bishop's Buttery, where vaulted stone and glowing fires set the stage for a culinary experience of rare distinction. Awarded its first Michelin Star in 2024, just two years after opening. Our restaurant reflects a refined culinary vision rooted in Irish provenance and elevated with contemporary flair
A Seasonal Celebration of Local Produce
In this iconic setting, our tasting menus reflect the seasons and the local landscape, crafted from estate‑sourced produce and regional artisan ingredients. Each course, whether a delicate seafood dish or a richly plated meat course balances tradition with innovation, echoing the heritage of Cashel through every bite.
Under Executive Chef Stephen Hayes, with Head Chef Stefan McEnteer orchestrating the kitchen brigade, The Bishop’s Buttery honours Tipperary’s bountiful larder through menus shaped by the land and the seasons.
