The Bishop’s Buttery Presents: Exquisite Autumn Experiences

This autumn, the Michelin-starred Bishop’s Buttery at Cashel Palace Hotel invites you to indulge in a series of exclusive luxury gastronomic events, each meticulously curated to offer an unforgettable experience. Join us as we celebrate the finest in wine, champagne, and whisky, paired with exquisite culinary creations. Our three-part event series will transport you through the heritage and craftsmanship of Henschke Vineyard, Deutz Champagne, and Macallan Whisky.

We warmly invite both hotel guests and non-residents alike to enjoy these unique culinary events. Those opting to stay overnight will also receive a 15% discount per room booked on September 11th, October 23rd or November 12th.

September 11th: An Evening with Henschke Vineyard

Experience the legendary Henschke Vineyard, one of Australia’s most revered wine producers. The evening begins in our elegant Drawing Room, where guests will be welcomed with a complimentary drink and an assortment of canapés. A representative from Henschke Vineyard will provide an insightful talk about the vineyard's rich history and heritage.

Following the welcome reception, guests will be treated to a sumptuous tasting menu in The Bishop’s Buttery restaurant, each course thoughtfully paired with exquisite wines from Henschke. Discover the unique flavors and aromas that make Henschke wines so exceptional.

October 23rd: Champagne Dinner – Deutz




Join us for an opulent evening celebrating the elegance of Deutz Champagne. The night begins with a Champagne reception in The Drawing Room, complemented by a luxurious caviar service. Learn about the prestigious history of Deutz Champagne from our expert speaker.

Dinner will follow in The Bishop’s Buttery restaurant, where a specially curated tasting menu will be perfectly paired with a selection of Deutz Champagnes, showcasing the versatility and sophistication of these remarkable bubblies.

November 12th: Macallan Whisky Experience




Conclude our autumn series with an immersive experience dedicated to the legendary Macallan Whisky. Guests will be welcomed in The Orangery with a Macallan "Patience Serve Workshop" and canapés, setting the stage for a night of whisky exploration.

The evening continues in the enchanting Secret Garden, where the fires will be lit, creating a cozy ambiance for an expert-led whisky tasting. The grand finale will be a tasting menu in The Bishop’s Buttery restaurant, paired with innovative Macallan whisky cocktails. Each guest will leave with a bottle of Macallan Double Cask 12YO as a memorable keepsake.

Chef's Table

Each course of the surprise menu is introduced and described by the Chef in charge of producing the dish. Guests learn where the ingredients come from and what the elements of the dish are by the very person who made it.
Interspersed with this is an excellent and in depth description of each matching wine by Farrah Scanlan, our Sommelier, and at the end of the meal the whole kitchen team serve the petit fours to finish off the experience.
